Anniversary Match – Sunday 31st August 2025 @ Jack’s Lake – Match Report (sorry it’s late
Golden Peg: £300 (not won – rolls over!)
Silver Peg: £193
We were blessed with a sunny day with a bit of cloud cover and decent temperatures in the 20’s – perfect conditions for the Anniversary Match but the lake fished fairly hard.
Top 3 on the day: Graysen – 16lb (peg 31)
Mitchel – 14lb 15oz (peg 37)
Mick – 10lb 10oz (peg 46)
Huge congratulations to Graysen on taking his first ever match win – fantastic angling and well deserved! Mitchel pushed hard right behind him, and Mick put in a solid performance to round off the podium.
A special mention to Graysen who generously donated part of his winnings to Dementia UK. Well done Graysen, a great gesture. The club are very proud of you mate and we hope thats the first of many match wins to come! That was donated along with the money collected by Andi Langford in memory of the passing of Michael Flinn recently. A club legend and honorary member of HAPS who will be sorely missed. A bench and some plants have been placed near his peg, peg 37. RIP Mick. There is a link to donate to Dementia UK in the comments below.
Links to the full match result and the latest league standings are in the comments below, along with with booking for the last night match of the season! I’ll be there to do the draw and weigh in’s but I can’t fish, it’s our anniversary and my other half says she’d rather go out for dinner than fish a night match?! Crazy.
Friendly reminder: Please remember the lake and match rules – no baited rods are to be left unattended at any time.
The Golden Peg wasn’t won, so it now rolls over and grows even bigger – next time could be your payday!
Thanks to everyone who came along – see you at the next one!
– Lester
