1. CONDUCT
(a) All anglers must fish to the standard required by the Environment Agency
(b) No members or other persons shall light fires, cut down trees, destroy hedges or shrubs, damage fences or banks.
(c) Litter of any kind must not be left on the banks of any water or any part of the fishery. All members and anglers will be responsible to the Club for removing all litter of any kind from the swims they are fishing regardless of the responsibility for the depositing of the litter.
(d) No firearms to be allowed on or in the surrounding area of fishery (except if authorised by the Committee)
(e) No angler may leave unattended tackle with a baited hook.
(f) No gaffs are allowed on fishery.
(g) No digging for bait.
ANGLING EQUIPMENT AND TACKLE
(a) Keep nets are allowed on the Lake on club-endorsed matches only.
(b) Lead free shot weight only to be used.
(c) Barbless hooks only to be used. Maximum size hook No. 6.
(d) Minimum of 5lb breaking strain line to be used when specimen fishing.
(e) Unhooking mats must used when specimen fishing and they must be of a suitable size for the fish being targeted. If you are unsure, please speak with a bailiff.
(f) All Anglers must have and use landing nets suitable for the size of fish being targeted.
(g) All Anglers must have carp care kit (antiseptic to be sprayed on damaged fish)
(h) No braided mainline allowed (hook length is allowed) except if pike fishing.
(i) No fishing in middle lilly pads (as this damages them and the fish and you are likely to lose terminal tackle)
(j) No killing of any fish (Including pike) you will be banned for life if caught.
(k) All members must take excess bait away from the fishery.
(l) No livebait.
(m) Access to and fishing in the members end is only permitted between Dawn and Dusk (accept with the express permission of the committee). Anyone found in the members end outside of these times will be suspended
(n) Night fishing is permitted for full members only and it is not permitted in the members end
(o) No camping. Bivvy’s are permitted for night fishing
(p) No fishing in between pegs.
(q) The maximum stay for any angler on Jack’s Lake is 48 Hours.
(r) Boats can only be used on the lake with the approval of the committee.
(s) Life jackets or life preservers must be worn on any boat used on Jacks Lake
(t) No swimming is permitted in the Lake
2. FISHERY CARDS AND PERMITS
(a) Members and other anglers may only fish if the current fishery card or day-ticket and Environment Agency rod licence (for all rods used) is produced when requested
(b) All members, wardens or bailiffs are empowered to request the production of the membership card, day ticket or Environment Agency rod licence or other means of identification.
REMOVAL OF FISH
(a) No fish to be taken away from any fishery under any circumstances except on official netting parties with appropriate Environment Agency paperwork.
3. RULEBOOK
(a) This rulebook is subject to change at any time providing any changes or additions have been approved by the committee. The latest version of the rules will be placed on the web site www.haps.org.uk and posted on noticeboards at the lake.
(b) The bailiff’s or any club official’s decision is final on all fishery matters
