🎣 Match Reports – Sunday 8th June (yes, a bit late – sorry!)
We had two matches running side by side on Jack’s Lake:
🏆 Angling Trust Supercup – HAPS vs Team 5 Lakes (Members’ end)
🎣 Steve Tombs / Mick Hanley Memorial Match (Non-members’ end)
Unfortunately, the overnight rain and chilly temperatures made for a tough day’s fishing. The lake switched off completely – only two anglers managed over 10lb across both matches, and even the silvers weren’t feeding.
Supercup Result:
Team 5 Lakes took the win with 21 points, HAPS close behind with 34 – a really tight match! Just one carp was enough to break into the top 5, with one or two bites making all the difference.
Top 3:
🥇 Spud (5 Lakes) – 3 carp from peg 31, 10lb 2oz
🥈 Damian (5 Lakes) – 3 carp from peg 46, 9lb 11oz
🥉 Lukasz (HAPS) – 8lb 7oz from peg 39
Steve Tombs / Mick Hanley Memorial:
Well done to James Atkins, who absolutely smashed it with 19lb 9oz!
2nd and 3rd went to Mick M and Michael C on what was a tough day for many.
